Hey guys! I know the reviews have been lacking here lately. Don't worry, I am all recovered from my surgery, now I'm just trying to get caught up on my reading. I'm also in the process of working on my own domain. However who knew that finding appropriate layouts and header images would be so hard!?  I'm still around and reading, don't worry!

As most of you know, I participated in the Book Blogger Holiday Swap. Last week was a super busy week for me, and I was all stressed out and worrying about all the things that one worries about during the holidays, so imagine my surprise when I came home and found a huge box waiting for me on my front porch!

Michelle from Michelle's Masterful Musing, was my secret santa and let me tell you she is one amazing person. I was going to wait until Christmas to open my box, but I just couldn't! And there was so much squee-ing and aww-ing as I opened it up. That I quickly re-wrapped everything just so I could take pictures of them as I opened them again!

It's the Holiday season, so I know my posts are sporadic. Don't worry though. Find the Time to Read isn't going anywhere and neither am I. I'm going to be taking a small hiatus until after Christmas though. There will still be some posts, but no where in the volume that there have been. It's just to stressful to try to bake, read and review and of course wrap presents.

However, I have sent out my swap gifts, and I have gotten one in the mail. So what I have recieved will be getting their own post soon .

Online Publicist, said it best. This season it seems that everyone is in some kind of slump, be it being behind on reviews, having too much shopping to do, or just feeling overwhelmed with life. There has to be some kind of pick me up, and Online Publicist came up with an amazing one.

I am donating my books to my local womans shelter, and giving some to Drea from Book Blather to give to a friend of hers who works with underprivileged teens.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Thursday is Thanksgiving, and since it's going to be a very busy few days I'm going to take a small hiatus. I should be back on Monday, but I wanted to take some time to say Happy Thanksgiving to all of you out there in reader land.

I'm also going to be posting my Monthly Review a little early, since I'll be MIA baking pies and all that.

AHAHA. I slay myself with my witty title. Okay seriously though, since October is now firmly in place, and so is the start of my favorite season. I feel as if I should warn you. From now until the snow is on the ground I will be reading stories that deal with the super natural, the spooky, the fae, and other ghosties and ghoulies.

I'm currently putting together a Halloween themed give away. I'm also participating in Book Chick City's All Hallows Eve 2009 event. So grab yourself a glass of warm apple cider and settle in with a good book. It's time to let the creatures of the night take over.

I like many other Harry Potter fans went to the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I haven't missed a midnight showing of any of the Harry Potter movies since they started coming out. I sadly cannot say the same thing about the book releases, I missed the last books midnight release party because a friend was getting married. I should have used the Imperio curse on him. (JOKING JOKING, I would NEVER use one of the Unforgivable curses on someone.)

I have to say this movie was outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised with how well it turned out. Sure like all the movies things were missing, but I've come to terms with the fact that they have to leave things out in order for it to be watched in under 10 hours. LOL!

I think that this movie really set up the next movie, which of course is the final movie, and from what I have heard is supposed to be done in two parts.

So, if you saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, either at midnight on the 14th or sometime on it's release date, tell me what you thought of it!

I know that most everyone has read the books and therefore knows whats going to happen, but in case you haven't or don't want anything from the movie to be spoiled then read the comments at your own risk.

So, this place has been pretty dead hasn't it. *laughs* I'm still dealing with being sick, but I figured I need to jump start it again. So starting Monday, I'm hoping to be back in the full swing of things. I hope you are ready for this, because FtTtR is coming back, bigger - stronger and better than before. I've got some great things lined up, and I'm actually really excited.

I love blogger, but I would like a little more customization in not only the way I post, but also in the way my site is laid out.

It's been super nice out lately, so I've decided to take advantage of it and do some spring cleaning. Both in my house and in my blog. Since the 24 hour Read-A-Thon, I've noticed I've been getting more page views and more people who are following. So I decided that I would go ahead and start cleaning up around here. I bet some of you are saying, well it looks the same what could you have possibly changed!? I'll tell ya.

I moved my labels into a drop down menu, no small feat let me tell you. Trying to find the part of the code to replace was a pain in the tush. But, now that it's done it looks awesome. My labels list was getting very long seeing as how I'm trying to make sure I tag everything with the way I think it should be tagged.

I'm changing the way I format my posts. The way I was doing it before was fine, but I felt that it was lacking. So from here on out I'm going to be posting differently. If you like it, or don't like it let me know! Feed back is aces here folks.

Okay first of all I'm participating in Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-Thon this Saturday. So there will be an influx of posts on Saturday since my goal is to read for the full 24 hours, and review what I read and also blog about what's going on and how I feel and how I'm keeping myself awake. I'm also doing this with the Drea from Book Blather, as in we will be in the same room egging each other on, she had mentioned possibly V-bloging as well, so we shall see what happens. Okay, if you haven't heard about the Amazon fiasco yet then you need to come out from whatever rock you've been living under. And if you don't live under a rock, but just haven't heard allow me to inform you.

Amazon is stripping the sales figure and ranking from books that they deem to have adult content, such as some romance novels, GLBTQ books, and erotica.

It is because of their decision that I will no longer be linking back to Amazon at all. Until they fix the mistake they made and issue an apology, they will no longer have my patronage.
